Yogyakarta, Media3.id- The government has prepared three strategies to reduce the spread of Covid-19. The three strategies are, first, behavior change and early detection of the spread of Covid19. Where this strategy consists of encouraging community behavior that adheres to health protocols through systematic health protocol campaigns in the community involving various groups, legal operations to enforce health protocol discipline, and encouraging targeted testing and tracing strategies.
The second strategy is the construction of quarantine and isolation centers, which consist of centralized quarantine facilities provided for asymptomatic and mild patients, so that hospitals are not full and prevent transmission within the family. Then every city that has a high number of positive cases should provide a centralized isolation facility equipped with adequate health facilities for handling OTG patients and mild symptoms.
The third strategy is Covid-19 treatment management, which applies standard protocols for patient handling therapy. In this case, the Ministry of Health has compiled together 5 professional organizations and a team of BUMN Hospitals. Then further ensure that each referral hospital has adequate bed capacity, medical supplies and equipment to carry out the protocol.
“The challenges faced are in addition to community discipline to comply with health protocols, as well as how to ensure targeted testing and tracing combined with centralized isolation. We will continue to encourage the addition and training of contact tracers, and also ensure close contacts and confirmed cases of quarantine and isolation ,” said Riri Andono Ahmad, epidemiologist at the Center for Public Health and Nursing (PKMK) Faculty of Medicine UGM Yogyakarta, Monday (16/8/2021) in a webinar entitled Countries Coping With The Covid19 Pandemic.
In the previous session, the Swedish Ambassador to Indonesia, Marina Berg, mentioned that many people are currently experiencing anxiety, worry, and stress in dealing with the Covid-19 crisis situation, which is increasingly spreading in various countries. Stress is known to lower the body’s immunity, while what is needed to ward off Covid-19 is a good immune system.

Berg said there are three main steps that can be taken to overcome the causes of stress due to the Covid-19 outbreak. First, the public is advised to equip themselves with sufficient knowledge about Covid-19. Second, find out about your own health condition through self-screening. Third, determine attitudes and steps according to current health conditions.
“For example, from the results of self-screening, we get results as residents who have never had contact with any Covid patient status, it is advisable to get used to a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS) to increase endurance and maintain sufficient distance from other people,” she explained.
In her presentation, then Gusti Kanjeng Ratu (GKR) Mangkubumi added, another important step to reduce stress, confusion, and fear of facing Covid-19 is to filter reading and viewing. “Collect accurate information so that it can assist in taking preventive action through credible and trusted sources such as WHO, Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the Indonesian Ministry of Health,” suggested Mangkubumi.
